Welcome to Midtown Monarch Monitors

Reignite Your Curiosity

Remember when the world felt magical? When every bug, every leaf, and every little thing held your attention? For many of us, that sense of wonder fades with age. Life becomes routine. The magic gets buried under to-do lists and long days.
Raising monarch butterflies brought that feeling back. And not just for one person—for an entire community.

At Midtown Monarch Monitors, we raise monarchs not to save the species, but to reconnect with something deeper. To pause, observe, and rediscover the beauty woven into everyday life. This is a practice of curiosity. A quiet rebellion against the rush.

What We're Doing

We raise monarchs with care, intention, and respect for the ecosystem. Each of us collects a few tiny eggs, nurtures them, and watches a transformation unfold. We follow safe methods to prevent the spread of disease and contribute our data to a continent-wide citizen science project.

But more than that, we build community. Neighbors come together. We celebrate releases. We share what we learn. We grow closer—to nature and to one another.

Why It Matters

This project isn’t about butterflies alone. It’s about seeing the world with new eyes. Monarchs help us notice what we’ve been missing—the quiet intricacies of the natural world. You begin to understand how plants, bugs, and animals all depend on each other. You begin to see yourself as part of it.
This shift changes things. It turns monotony into meaning. It replaces disconnection with delight.
