Midtown Brandywine runs on neighbors who care. Not just about their own homes, but about the people, places, and shared spaces that make this neighborhood feel like home. Our committees keep things moving, from planting trees and greeting new residents to planning the parties we all look forward to.
Weed & Wine at the Pocket Park
Once the mulch is down and the weeds come up, we get together to tidy things up with a glass of wine in hand. It’s casual, social, and helps keep our park looking its best.
Midtown Monarch Monitors (Late July to Early September)
Neighbors raise monarch butterflies right here in the neighborhood. We tag and release them as part of a national conservation effort. It’s a quiet way to connect with nature and with each other.
Welcoming New Neighbors
Moving to a new place is easier when someone says hello. We drop off a welcome packet and try to make sure no one goes too long without a friendly face or a helpful tip.
Progressive Dinner (May)
Appetizers at one house, mains at another, dessert somewhere else. It’s one of our favorite traditions and a great way to meet people without small talk in folding chairs.
Block Party (October)
We close the street and turn it into a big front porch. There's food, music, games, and a mix of new faces and longtime friends.
Chili Cookoff (February)
Bring your best pot or your biggest appetite to the Pocket Park. It’s warm, a little competitive, and always a good time.
Holiday Party (December)
A relaxed way to close out the year. Plenty of food, good company, and festive sweaters if you’re into that sort of thing.
Monthly Newsletters
Each month we send out a quick update with upcoming events, board highlights, and neighborhood news. It’s the easiest way to stay in the loop, even if you can’t make every meeting.
You don’t have to join a committee to be involved. Sign up for a committee mailing list to hear about volunteer opportunities and neighborhood updates that match your interests.
