What's a neighborhood association?

We’re more than a group of volunteers, we’re neighbors who care about where we live and who we live near. The Midtown Brandywine Neighbors’ Association (MBNA) exists to support the people, places, and shared spaces that make this community feel like home.

Events
From long-running traditions to pop-up gatherings, we create ways for neighbors to connect, celebrate, and spend time together.
Advocacy
We speak up for the needs of our neighborhood, working with city officials and local organizations on everything from traffic safety to development plans.
Community
We welcome new neighbors, check in on one another, and look for ways to strengthen the sense of belonging that defines Midtown Brandywine.

Questions? We've got answers!

Whether you’re new to the neighborhood or have lived here for years, we know things come up. Here are some of the questions we hear most often, along with a few helpful details to keep you connected and in the know.

Who can be a member of the Neighbors’ Association?
Anyone who lives within the Midtown Brandywine boundaries and is of voting age can be a member. Property owners who don’t live in the neighborhood are welcome to stay informed but cannot vote or serve on the board.
How do I find out about neighborhood events?
The best way is to join our email list. We also post updates in the Midtown Brandywine Facebook group and include upcoming events in our monthly newsletter.
Can I attend board meetings even if I’m not on the board?
Yes. Board meetings are open to all residents. You’re welcome to listen in, share ideas, or just stay informed.
How do I get involved with a committee?
Most committees are always looking for volunteers. You don't need to be a board member to be involved with a committee. You can reach out through our contact form or talk to any board member at an event. Whether you have time for one project or want to join regularly, there's a place for you.
Do I have to be on the board to help out?
Not at all. Many neighbors contribute in ways that don’t involve meetings. Whether it's delivering welcome packets, baking for the holiday party, or planting trees, we welcome help in any form.
